Oklahoma First Energy Plan Update
First created in 2011, the Oklahoma First Energy Plan was the first comprehensive plan capturing critical data elements of Oklahoma’s energy market and providing guidance for policy efforts. Since its original development, Oklahoma’s energy industry has undergone tremendous transformation. From the advancement of extraction technologies to the substantial growth in the state’s wind energy portfolio, and even the start of utility-scale solar projects – Oklahoma’s energy sector is evolving. Vesta Strategic Solutions partnered with the Oklahoma Secretary of Energy and Environment in 2020 to update the Oklahoma energy plan, incorporating and bringing all current relevant market data, and adding new sections for the environment of Oklahoma and emerging technology areas such as electric vehicles and battery storage.
